It's no surprise: I love to eat. Anyone who knows me knows that as gospel truth. And that's really putting it real simple terms.

I love the experience of eating out: the adventure of trying out something new at a restaurant, coffee shop, or even those quaint little street food shops in and around the neighborhood. I enjoy of sharing food with family and friends- what better way to spend time with your loved ones than with good eating?

And finally, I appreciate and the effort put into preparing a dish: trading recipes and food tips are a great way to soak up on some culture- good food is like a universal language of sorts.

Welcome to my personal food blog and amateur digital photography showcase, Renzie on Food. I got into food blogging just about the same time I got my digital camera, so I figured, this would be a great way to put those two interests together. Hey, Renzie here at your service, and thanks for stopping by to check out the stuff on this blog.

I've been actively blogging for a little over a year and a half now, but it wasn't only until recently that I seriously considered putting a separate blog just on food, cooking and dining.

Of course it makes sense- not only do I love to eat, but I also enjoy cooking and cooking shows. I go out with family and friends checking out good restaurants, or at least trying out new things on the menu, and keep an eye out for out-of-the-way yet enjoyable food places.

And that's what this blog is all about: food and food appreciation for the regular dude, by a regular dude. And by 'regular', I mean 'those of us who haven't had formal culinary training' or 'those of us who don't have a food program or food publication to our name'. Heck, if it tastes good, and if people deserve to know about it, then it's definitely worth writing about, and that's about it.

So stick around, and come share a thing or two yourself. It would be much appreciated, really. Cheers, everyone!
